Spring Fever!
One of the many things that I love about Calgary is that you never know what the weather is going to be like from one day to the next, or one moment to the next. On Thursday we had a bit of a snowstorm (ok slight understatement!). During the day a good portion of the snow had melted then, it started snowing again towards late afternoon. So, it took me two hours to get to work and an hour to get home. Normally, even on a bad day (unless I have bad train Karma) it takes me 20 minutes. Anyways, I got home and gave whitters a bone.

So there is the Princess out in the snow. She was out there for over an hour chewing on that thing. Thankfully it had warmed up a bit. She is just silly! And today, it was plus 21 or something crazy like that!!
Then, I found out this weekend that it is true when they say “fuck like bunnies”.

There is Cameron in the window, the bunny in the snow is the female and the one in the grass is the male. They played a lot of “chase” and “catch” on Saturday between my yard and the neighbors. Cameron was enthralled by the “action” though he was adamant that they were both boy bunnies. Of course, he is a bit young to hear about the birds and the bees (or in this case bunnies) even in my household. So I told him that the bunnies were giving each other piggy back rides. I can’t wait till he goes to daycare tomorrow to tell his teachers and friends that one!!
And, I actually have a finished project. They are only socks. But they are a pair. At the time that I took the picture the other one was in the dryer! I washed them up but they didn’t make the dryer at the same time. The stitches were pretty loose but firmed up nicely in the wash. Its online sock 6 ply sock yarn. Super quick knit and still have a ton left over. Probably enough for a pair of footsie ankle socks.

It has been a good weekend. I love when Cameron and I have weekends like this. Where it is the two of us chilling out. He does have a bit of a cold though so by about 5 each day he was done. Even today, he hit his head and then got soap in his eyes (during bath time) and wouldn’t stop crying. Then he wouldn’t get his pj’s on. So I told him he had to stay in his room until he got some on. “Mommy I won’t draw any more pictures for you when I am at daycare”. It makes me chuckle when he says that kind of stuff to me. He was SO mad at me that he ended up crawling into my bed when I was downstairs doing laundry, naked, and passed out asleep. I went looking for him when he wasn’t in his room. He was curled up on my pillow snuggled under the covers. I gave him a kiss and he sorta woke up saying “I’m staying here till you tell me I can go downstairs”. That wasn’t even what he wanted in the first place. How quickly they forget. So, tonight I will get to snuggle with my boy.

Coming up this week … the Wiggles … I think I might be crazy. (oh and I spun a lot too. But will save that for another day).
